Automated Tipper for Rear Loaders Saves Time, Adds Safety

The automated Arlock™ container handling system eliminates winching and manual latching.

The Arlock™ one-man container handling system is designed to speed commercial rear loader collections while improving operator convenience and safety. Rear loaders equipped with the Arlock can securely latch onto commercial containers, tip, dump, return and release the dumpster in a single, automated motion. The Arlock™ employs a unique latching system that locks onto both sides of the container’s trunions. The latching arms pull up on the trunions while the kick bar pivots upward to tip and empty the container. At the same time, the Arlock tailgate plate extends upward to eliminate the gap between the tailgate and the container to prevent any refuse from escaping. This “extendable” tailgate increases hopper capacity between cycles by up to 25%.

The Arlock container handling system is available on all Wayne Engineering Phoenix™ rear loaders, and can also be retrofitted onto many other makes and models of rear loaders.
